Since humans were created they used some form of communication so that they could do things like group hunting and trading, so they invented the alphabet and languages so they could talk. As humans became more advanced they created paper and writing utensils. Hundreds of years later some smart man invented the telegraph. A few years later another man invented the phone for quick easy communication.
The alphabet was a very important step to our civilization. The alphabet was one of the earliest forms of communication. It is unknown where the first alphabet was first made but it is believed that the ancient Egyptians made a alphabet for communication so that they could help each other in creating the great structures we call the pyramids. Years later other civilizations began to create their own alphabets so they could also communicate with each other. I am amazed with how our ancestors created the alphabet.
Writing was a big step in our civilization. Writing was used so that our ancestors could communicate without having to go talk to them. They could just write what they wanted to say and when the other person saw it they would understand. It is believed that the earliest attempt to write was in Mexico 3200 BC. It is also believed that a few hundred years later the ancient Egyptians successfully created a writing system called hieroglyphs. Many years later other civilizations made their own writing systems. Writing was and still is used frequently. I am happy that our ancestors invented writing.
Telegraphy was a huge step in our civilization. The telegraph was used for long distance communication. There were many attempts to create a telegraph. Many worked but were too complicated. Years later a man named Samuel Morse created a simple system called Morse Code. It used a bell to make the sound. The telegraph was used during the Civil War and for a long period of time after. The telegraph really helped our ancestors.
The telephone is also a great invention. People still frequently use it for quick easy communication. Communication was a wonderful invention. I am using an invention right now, writing. So many interesting people with the imagination to think of the ideas and the perseverance to work until they either have proof it can not be done or finish what they started. These are the men who make our world great

Flowers
Flowers are really great. They smell really nice. They look great. They help bees. Some kinds of flowers can be eaten. Some kinds of flowers can be made into medicines. I am glad flowers do so many things.

Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs are creatures that lived Millions of years ago. They roamed the earth eating varieties of foods. They ate plants and meat. Those that ate meat were called carnivores. Those that ate plants were called herbivores. Those that ate both were called omnivores.
The reason I think dinosaur carnivores were important is because they ate dead and alive animals. They kept the number of other dinosaurs the same. They also cleaned up the planet. That's why I think dinosaur carnivores were important.

The Wounded Soldier
Today I went to a celebration for a corporal who lost both his legs in Afghanistan. He worked in the marines and was 21. He had a wonderful wife and a sweet son who was born the day before he was injured.
The air force wanted to throw a thank you party. So he came down from Maryland to attend it. They gave him several awards and he heard a lot of speeches. They thanked him for his service and made cake for him.
Then he told me about what happened to him in Afghanistan. He was only there for two weeks patrolling with his squad. He found a land mine with a wire. He followed the wire to were it split up. He continued following and came to another split.
He was afraid one of his troops would step on a wire so he told them to step back. He continued following. He wasn't watching where he was going and tripped on a wire. He went flying into the air. He had both his legs blown off.
After a little while British soldiers came and picked him up. They gave him three shots in the shoulder and told him he would fall asleep. He woke up for a few seconds on the way to the hospital. At the hospital they fixed his leg.
After they fixed up his legs they flew him to Europe. Then they flew him to New York. He woke up after he arrived in Maryland. There he met up with his wife.
I think he was a real leader because he went in front of his troops and did the dangerous work. He was brave even though his legs were blown off. He Is a very kind person and is nice to talk with. I think he is a great soldier.

Reptiles
Reptiles are cold blooded animals that require the sun or some other source of heat. Most reptiles eat bugs or meat. Some eat plants or small animals such as rats and mice. There are a few different kinds of reptiles such as snakes and lizards. Also there are crocodiles and alligators. I think they are all important.
The reason I think snakes are important is that snakes eat rats and mice. There are 100's of different kinds of snakes and millions of each kind crawling around. I think we'd have a lot more rats and mice if it weren't for snakes.

The Rover Boys On The Mountains Part 2
In part 1 Tom, Sam, and Dick learned how cruel their new teacher was. Also Sam had just recovered and the bad teacher was thrown out of Putnam Hall. The beginning of part 2 takes place in town.
Dick and Tom were out shopping for school. They had just passed the bar when they saw their enemy Dan Baxter sitting with the bad teacher. They were talking but neither Tom nor Dick could hear them. They ducked out of sight when they saw them coming to the exit.
They went back to the hall.As soon as they got back to the hall they told Sam everything. They decided to go home and tell their father.
After they told their father they calmed down and looked at the old chest they found on needle point island (referring to the last book The rover boys on the great lakes). There were a few silver coins still in it (of little value). They looked over it very carefully and found 3 little buttons.
Sam and Tom pressed them all but nothing happened. Then Dick tried a certain combination and a little compartment opened. Inside was a little map that had french writing on the back. Part 3 next

Boy scout court of honor troop 220
I had lots of fun at my troop's last court of honor. I really enjoyed the snacks and music. I earned a lot of awards. Court of honors are important because they are lots of fun, and they show the hard work the scouts have done. They are also important because they are a celebration of scouting.
They are fun because we all get to talk with each other afterward. We also get to eat snacks and play games. I hope they will always be this fun.
They also talk about the hard work the troop has done. The scouts have spent a lot of time working on merit badges. We earned 41 different merit badges. We also cleaned up a trail and we talked about it. We do lots of activities in troop 220.
We also celebrate scouting by having court of honors. We also sell items like popcorn to help support our troop and boy scouting. We do lots of activities to earn money and to help our community.
I really enjoy court of honors because we enjoy doing lots of fun activities. I think more kids should join scouting

The Rover Boys On The Mountains Part 1
In this part of the story the Rover Boys are going to learn how cruel their new teacher is. The story takes place at Putnam Hall Gym. Sam, Tom, and Dick are all doing stretching drills.They are all talking about Christmas season. They are waiting for class to end. Finally the bell rings. Then they are all called to The lobby to meet a new student named Tubbs.
After they all get to know each other Sam Starts calling Him by his nickname:Buttertubbs. Then everyone starts teasing him. One of the other students tripped him and he gets really mad. After that he starts accusing Tom. But Tom didn't do it.So he accuses Sam. Sam denies it, but Tubbs doesn't believe him. So Tubbs drags him to the wall and starts hitting him. The third time Tubbs hits Sam he breaks free from him and socks him in the nose as hard as he can.Tubbs screams in pain as his nose starts bleeding.
Then the new teacher comes in and takes them both to his office, and decides to put Tubbs in the stone chamber, and Sam in storage room, both freezing cold. Dick and Tom can't stand it. They both know they'll die. They decide to break them out. After they found the key and got away from the hall they decide to head to the Stanhopes Cottage.
They discovered that Sam caught a bad cold when he was in the cold storage room. Dick went into town to get a doctor. He met his friend Harry in town. He said that Captain Putnam had gotten back to the Hall an hour ago and had sent him to find Dick, Sam, Tom, and Tubbs. He also said that he had fired the bad teacher. He finished up in town and headed back to The Stanhopes Cottage. Sam had gotten a little better but was still coughing.
Dick decided to go back to the hall to talk to Captain Putnam. The Captain told Dick about the fuss the teacher made. The teacher was forced to leave. Dick decided to check on Sam. When he got back Sam was all better. They thanked the Stanhopes and went back to Putnam Hall. The End of part1.

The Rover boys out west part 1
The Rover boys series is a good collection of books Based on three boys,Sam,Tom,and Dick.The rover boys out west is the fourth book in the series and that is what I'm writing about.In this story the Rover boys are racing for the claim of a mine that their father has inherited. Along the way they will meet many dangers and several of their old foes.Their will be several other parts but for now part 1.
The Rover boys at the time were enrolled in a school called Putnam Hall.They Had just won a football game to a team with bigger players than they had.They all wanted to celebrate,but they all had to chip in some money to. After they all finished counting the money they had, they all went down to the store to buy supplies.
On the way to the store in the sleigh they didn't notice that the bridge work sign had been removed.They hit the side of the bridge, and they all were thrown off the sleigh. Only Dick and one other boy got hurt. They discovered that their old enemy had removed the sign and hidden it. After that they all finished shopping and got back to the school. They all shot fireworks and ate all kinds of foods. They laughed and played games and told jokes. After they finished with the festivity's they all went to bed.
In the morning the Rover boys discovered that their enemy had tried to rob their friends the Stanhope's. As soon as they discovered this this Dick,and Sam tried to follow his tracks, Tom decided to head home. But they don't know that their enemy Dan Baxter is plotting to destroy them.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 was a good movie with lots of action.With Johnny Depp as Jack sparrow this movie was scary,funny,and cool all at the same time.In the movie all the characters were in a scramble for fortune,fame, and eternal life.The story is based on the fierce pirate Blackbeard searching for the fountain of youth.Jack is captured by Blackbeard's daughter Angelica because she needs him to help find the fountain of youth. But they will meet many dangers along the way....

My friend and I went to Bonaire middle school to try and recruit some more scouts.We found a lot of kids who were interested.We told them what it is about.We also showed them pictures of previous activities the troop participated in.We told them about the different types of scouting.There's Cub Scouting,Boy Scouting,Venture Scouting,and Varsity scouting.Also for those who couldn't get on base we recommended a few other troops. I enjoy boy scouting because you get to meet a lot of other kids and you get to go on lots of trips.

My Brother's Video game
My brother is working on a new video game that will be 10 times better than Minecraft. It will be really cool.It will have guns and forts.And you can make anything out of blocks.There will be unlockables, and all sorts of skins.He expects it to be done in a few months.He is going to make different expansion packs.I have already started making my server.It will have several worlds.I can't wait till it's done.

Blitzkrieg
Blitzkrieg is a fun game based on world war II. You can move tanks and troops. You can use Artillery and call air support. It has 100s of weapons and tanks you can use. You can play various missions playing as the Germans, the Allies, or the Soviet Union. Most of the weaponry you use is real. You can also make your own maps and units. There are two modes of play, single player, and multiplayer. I really like this game a lot because you use your brain a lot.

My Lego's
I have a lot of Lego's. I've got big Lego's, and I've got small Lego's. I have about 24 Lego sets and a lot of spare bricks. My favorite types of Lego's are Lego star wars and Lego Kingdoms. My brother has about 20 sets. My brother and I like to play with Lego's. Kids are not the only people who use Lego's. Some builders and architects use Lego's to build designs. The man who invented Lego's was trying to make a tool that helped him look at how his building would turn out, but he ended up making a toy that kids love.

World war II was started because of Hitlers lust for power.
The Italians,and the Japanese joined Germany in the struggle for world domination.Hitler wanted to destroy Poland because the soldiers there were defending against Germany. Germany attacked Poland and destroyed it (the allies were too late). The allies then mounted a counter strike against Germany. After many years they won. But after that Japan wouldn't give up. they attacked pearl harbor. Then the allies declared war on Japan. The allies fought deep into japan. The Japanese still wouldn't give up.America created a weapon called the atomic bomb. They dropped this weapon into japan and destroyed a entire city.The Japanese held their grudge.They dropped a second bomb into another huge Japanese city. The Japanese finally gave up. The war was finally over.
